Pilates is a type of exercise that focuses on improving; flexibility, posture, increasing your core strength and improving your body awareness through controlled movements that work all major muscle groups.
Pilates utilises small and large pieces of equipment to make exercises more challenging or to regress them to a suitable level for your needs.
Pilates is suitable for all levels of fitness and experience. Whether you are returning to exercise post surgery or recovering from an injury, if you are wanting to manage a chronic disease such as Osteoarthritis, or are just eager to get your body moving, then Pilates is the perfect type of exercise for you.
We offer three types of pilates classes including; Reformer, Matwork and Rehabilitation classes. You can guarantee that you will find a class that’s the right fit for you. These classes are run by our Accredited Exercise Physiologists who have had further training in Pilates and Pilates instruction. These classes are run with 5-6 participants which allows for more individualised care.
Anyone can attend our small group pilates classes following an initial consultation with one of our Exercise Physiologists. Please give our friendly admin team a ring if you would like more information or are interested in starting Pilates.
