Road to Recovery is proud to run our ‘Strong Kids’ Classes which can be funded through the NDIS. These small group exercise classes are for boys and girls under the age of 18 years old who would like to increase their physical activity, develop their strength, work on their sport skills or just exercise in a fun, social and safe environment.
There can be a lot of pressure on kids when it comes to starting exercise in a gym environment and lots of misinformation about how to exercise safely, supplements and etiquette in a weights room. This program was launched to provide a space for kids to learn about the benefits of exercise, in a safe manner and avoid negative peer pressure and harmful habits when lifting weights in a gym environment.
Our Exercise Physiologists will complete a thorough assessment with each participant and design a tailored exercise plan as well as a mix of games and activities which kids complete during the class times with supervision from our team.
This class does require each participant to undergo an initial assessment and training session before jumping into our group classes.
